Handmade Bricks

Handmade bricks are our favourite bricks at Jim Wise Reclamation — and among the most sought-after in the trade. Made in moulds on a bench using hand-thrown techniques rather than machine-pressed, each handmade brick carries a distinct pattern on its face, giving walls a unique, characterful and unmistakably original look that's almost impossible to replicate with modern manufacturing.

There's something innately appealing about good British handmade brick: solidity, durability and striking regional colour variation. We stock handmade bricks from across the country, including the ever-popular Cheshire handmade brick, Derbyshire handmade, buff handmade, Eccleshall handmade, small-format Birmingham handmade, Stafford facer press, London multi stock and shaped soft orange cant headers.
