Wire-cut bricks are a smoother, more regular brick that fits together more cleanly than handmade — which is why so many modern buildings and new builds use them. Most wire-cut bricks are machine made, shaped by thin wires cutting through the clay rather than pressed in moulds, giving consistent sizing and crisp edges.
Please note: there's no such thing as a “perfect” reclaimed wire cut brick. Most of ours are not new and will show the nicks, wear and weathered tones of previous use — what we call character — which is exactly what makes them ideal for blending extensions and new builds into existing surroundings.
